16 February : Falconry Day

A lovely sunny afternoon welcomed the visitors to the centre today for their falconry day experience. After a walk around the centre to meet the birds and a short educational talk about the weight, feeding patterns and feather structure of the birds, visitors were given the opportunity to handle the birds and to see them in action. The event finished with a stroll through the nearby woods led by a Harris Hawk. A good time was had by all, including the birds!

10 February : A Day In The Life..........

A sunny day allowed David and Torri to fly some of their birds around the grounds in readiness for the centre opening on 29 March 2014. A Kestrel, Red Tailed Hawk and Harris Hawk were stretching their wings in the glorious sunshine.
